Seed phrase

A seed phrase consists of 24 English words. Never disclose or lose the seed phrase. Anyone with your seed phrase can get full access to your identity.

You can only read your seed phrase when you backup it. It is the only way to recover your identity. Therefore, we recommend you backup your seed phrase carefully and as soon as possible.

Notice: The seed phrase is not the same as the private key in another wallet. It is one of the recovery methods for your ME ID. Therefore, it can be deleted and regenerated.

Please follow the instructions below to backup your seed phrase.

STEP 1: You can get into this page when signing up or click the 'Add' button in the dashboard.

STEP 2: Click 'Backup now'.

STEP 3: We suggest writing seed phrase down on paper and keeping it safe.

You can also copy the seed phrase and paste it somewhere only you can access it.

STEP 4: Click 'Next' and return to the dashboard.

You can delete and regenerate seed phrase again.
